Factoids: Mapleway Amusement Company first appeared in the 1939 Polk Laramie City Directory providing a variety of entertainment including bowling.
The alleys and cafe were downstairs (dance hall upstairs) and the cafe was managed by Bernard Nelson.
Elmer Lovejoy and Garry (F.) Braisted were the managers/owners of the lanes per the 1939-40 Ives Business Directory.
Harry and Garry (F.) Braisted were the managers/owners of the lanes per the 1941-42 Ives Business Directory.
In 1945, the first Wyoming Women's State Tournament was held here and Phil Trumbull set the pins by hand.
F E Rocchio first appeared as the owner of the new Mapleway Bowling Lanes at 414 S 2nd in 1949.
F E Rocchio (who lived at 755 N 5th) was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1950 & 1953-54 Rocky Mountain Business Directories.
Yuen C Lee was the owner/manager of the alleys per the 1955 Rocky Mountain Business Directory.
In 2023, this address is the location of the Prairie Rose Cafe.
